Fewer than 65,000 American WWII veterans are still alive. Every day, approximately 150 of them pass, and their memories of Normandy, Bataan, the Hürtgen Forest, and Okinawa go with them.
MilitaryHistoryUnveiled is a youth-led oral history project dedicated to recording in-depth video interviews with surviving veterans before the window closes permanently. Each interview follows the full arc of a life: childhood, enlistment, training, combat, homecoming, and reflection, because the war is only part of who these men and women are.
"Every veteran who passes without telling their story is a library that burns. I'm racing to make sure that doesn't happen."
